Controversy erupted in Bishop Obinim’s church after he slapped his church elder, Mr. Opoku, leading to Opoku’s departure from the church. Obinim vowed that because of this incident, he would no longer gift anyone a car. During his Easter Sunday church service, Obinim explained why he slapped Mr. Opoku and why Opoku left the church.
According to Obinim, he doesn’t regret slapping Opoku because it was intentional. He claimed that Mr. Opoku left his church to join Adom Kyei Duah’s church and has since been gossiping about him. During the service, Obinim warned his junior pastor that he would face similar consequences if he didn’t behave and answer questions correctly.
