Veteran Actress Maame Dokono Speaks Out: Sets the Record Straight on Rumored Romance with Late Former President Jerry Rawlings
The renowned actress and TV personality from Ghana, Grace Omaboe, also known as Maame Dokono, has finally spoken out on the persistent rumor that she had a covert liaison with the late Jerry Rawlings.
Speaking during the book launch for her upcoming autobiography, “The Unforgettable.”
The well-known actress talked powerfully about her relationship with the NDC founder during her speech.
She stated as part of her remarks;
Some claimed to have heard that I was President Rawlings’ girlfriend. Who is that individual? Right. I never was President Rawlings’ girlfriend.
Maame Dokono has claimed unequivocally that she never dated the previous president, despite what is suspected.
The “By the Fire Side” actress went on to describe her political path, stating that Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings was the person who first introduced her to the field.
She also talked about the hardships she faced as a result of her political activity.
I was drawn into politics by Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. I participated in both parties, and if yours loses, you lose, and I lose as well. I quit politics as a result,” she said.
The actress will discuss a variety of topics in her book, including giving birth to all six of her children via C-section, which will be formally released on September 7, 2024.
