Two Dead After Assemblyman Opens Fire on Suspected Thieves at Cocoa Shop
Two people, ages 16 and 20, were shot and killed at the cocoa-buying shop owned by Hon. Kwabena Boateng, an assemblyman for Kyekyerwere East. The incident occurred in Dunkwa Kyekyerwere, Central Region.
Hon. Boateng claimed that after 35 bags of cocoa were taken from his store, he had been on high alert for a while. He observed three people attempting to break into his shop yesterday morning at around two in the morning.
He f!red in their direction, hitting two of the suspects while the third managed to flee as they tried to realize he was there.
Regretfully, one victim passed away immediately upon arrival, and the other passed away en route to the hospital.
Since then, the assemblyman has been detained by the police and is assisting them with investigation
