Tranac Ghana Company Limited to Expand Factory and Operations in Techiman Under 1D1F, Creating Jobs and Processing Chocolate with Cashew Nuts for Export to Europe
As part of Ghana’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative, Tranac Ghana Company Limited is set to expand its factory and operations in Techiman that promises to transform the local economy. The factory will focus on processing chocolate infused with cashew nuts, with products aimed at the lucrative European export market.
This facility is expected to create hundreds of jobs, offering employment opportunities to the local population and helping to reduce unemployment in the Techiman area. The initiative reflects the government’s broader vision of industrializing rural areas and boosting economic activity across the country.
A Boost to the Agricultural and Export Sectors
By combining Ghana’s world-renowned cocoa with locally grown cashew nuts, the factory will produce high-quality chocolate products that cater to European tastes. This value addition to raw materials will enhance Ghana’s export offerings and create stronger linkages between agriculture and manufacturing.
The move also aligns with the government’s ambition to diversify exports and promote local processing, reducing the reliance on raw material exports and increasing the country’s revenue from value-added goods.
Tranac is a company formed by Mr. Lubos Bohovic and Martin Bohovic from Slovakia and resident in Ghana. It was incorporated in 2014. Apart from direct employment the company offers lots of opportunities to farmers to supply them with cash crops for processing
The Tranac Ghana Company Limited factory marks a significant milestone in the 1D1F initiative, serving as a beacon of industrial growth and economic empowerment in Techiman and beyond.
