Slow Internet Sparks School Vandalism: Youth Demand Better Network for TikTok

Slow Internet Sparks School Vandalism: Youth Demand Better Network for TikTok

The youths in Kofitiakrom, the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region, are causing a stir online by refusing to accept and demolishing two desks that Colonel Kwadwo Damoah, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, donated. You won’t believe the reasons behind their actions.

The kids made it apparent that their main worry was the lack of mobile network service in the area, which disrupts their phone calls and internet access, even if the town’s public school needs desks.

They stated that having a mobile network was more important for the growth and connectedness of their community than having workstations.

The tables were designed to fill a large demand for student seating at the local elementary school.

One resident stated, “We appreciate the gesture, but our ability to communicate and access information is severely hampered without a mobile network.”

They claim that Colonel Kwadwo Damoah neglected to attend to the community’s pressing issues.
