Shatta Wale Challenges Stonebwoy to ‘Dancehall King’ Battle to Settle Long-Standing Beef
Shatta Wale has challenged his fellow musician Stonebwoy to a head-to-head showdown to resolve their long-running spat over the “Dancehall King” title once and for all.
Shatta Wale took to the X platform (previously Twitter) in the early hours of Thursday, August 29, 2024, and asked Stonebwoy to a battle and confrontation at Accra Sports Stadium.
Shatta Wale said in his post that if Stonebwoy and his following, known as Bhim Nation, decline the challenge, he will no longer identify to himself as a dancehall artist.
Shatta Wale adds that he wouldn’t be surprised if Stonebwoy skips the battle, since he has previously described Stonebwoy as more of a reggae artist than a true dancehall performer.
However, he assured the country and its leaders that the conflict would be a “structured and healthy competition.”
The numerous award-winning musician further requested that interested sponsors contact their management teams to arrange the dancehall showdown.
