Shatta Wale Announces Plans to Visit Jamaica Following Vybz Kartel’s Prison Release

Shatta Wale has made it known that, following the release of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel from prison, he intends to travel to Jamaica.
The Ghanaian musician has posted multiple times since the judge dropped Kartel’s trial, resulting in his release, and he has expressed his immense joy in them all.
Shatta Wale expressed in later posts how excited he was to record a music video for his joint single “Mansa Musa” with Vybz Kartel.
He also talked about how, despite being incarcerated for years, he has remained a devoted fan and brother of Vybz Kartel.
Nonetheless, Shatta Wale stated in his announcement that he would be visiting Vybz Kartel in Jamaica that “My Teacher is freeeeeeeee…” Now that I’m loyal to Royalty Vybzkartel, I can travel to Jamaica in peace.

Fans responded angrily to his comments, many of them voicing support for Shatta Wale’s efforts to distance his brand from the idea of being a “local champion.”
