Rahimat Salaum, a 23-year-old woman, has been taken into custody for k!.lling her husband Shehu after a fight.

It is confirmed that Rahimat was apprehended while attempting to flee with her husband’s possessions.

Rahimat has taken the police to an incomplete building where she disposed of her late husband’s burned body after confessing to the crime, they say.

The Abuja Police Department spokesperson said in a statement to the media:

On July 29, 2024, at around 6:00 p.m., the FCT police command agents assigned to the Pegi police Division made an arrest based on reliable information.

The woman had apparently been absent for around three days in a small truck, trying to escape with her husband’s paralyzed possessions, when police officers stormed in and arrested her.

The suspect confessed to killing her spouse during questioning after they got into a disagreement. She then guided the police officers to an incomplete structure where she had placed the horrifyingly charred corpse.
