Prz Mahama Has Cancelled Teachers And Nurses Training Allowance? Replaced It With Students Loan?.
Ghanaians have reacted with outrage after the Daily Guide released a news article claiming that the teacher and nurse training allowance is going to be cancelled and replaced with student loans with better terms.
The news came after the training union demanded that the government increase the amount paid as an allowance from GH¢400 to GH¢1,000, but to their surprise, the government is instead planning to cancel it and replace it with a loan.
Following the Daily Guide’s report, many Ghanaians have blasted the government for trying to introduce such an initiative, which they believe will cause students to suffer financially.
