“Please Grammy next year remember me” – Shatta Wale Begs Grammy For Nomination To Mock Stonebwoy
Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charlie Nii Armah Mensah, has made a plea to the Grammy Award organizers to include him in the ceremony the following year.
On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the singer mocked Stonebwoy in a tweet posted on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, pleading for a Grammy nomination.
Following the announcement of the 2025 Grammy Awards nominees by the Recording Academy board and members, the request was made.
The only Ghanaian performer on the list, Rocky Dawuni, won the coveted prize for the fourth time in his career.
This led to a contentious debate on the internet, with many people criticizing Grammy for consistently allowing Nigerian artists to dominate while ignoring Ghanaian artists.

Others chastised Ghanaian musicians, particularly Stonebwoy, for not showing up in spite of his desire to be considered for a Grammy.
