Martha Ankomah Speaks Out on Her Acting Choices, What Makes Her Play ‘Bad Girl’ Characters

Actress Martha Ankomah, from Ghana, spoke openly about her love for certain types of parts in films.

Martha Ankomah stated that she was interested in playing “bad girl” roles in movies during an interview with Badwam Ahosepe on Adom TV.

She clarified that she would only take these kinds of roles if the movie’s plot had a favorable effect on the viewers.

She stated:

“I still play bad girl roles in movies, but I always say that it depends on the storyline.” Martha Ankomah made a comparison between Judas’s role in Jesus Christ movies and “bad girl” portrayals, asserting that Judas had an impact on the plot even though he was the antagonist.

“Everyone despises Judas, as you will discover if you have ever watched Jesus movies. Because of what Judas did to Jesus, we were able to believe his account. Judas was crucial to our belief in the veracity of Jesus’ account. It’s all about the plot for me. I’ll play the bad girl if it means the tale will have a nice ending and it will help someone’s life turn around.”
