Kwame Yogot Names Shatta Wale as His Biggest Influence

Renowned Ghanaian rapper Kwame Yogot has revealed that he looks up to the outspoken singer Shatta Wale in the music industry and has expressed his deep respect for the classic of reggae/dancehall.

The “biibi besi” hitmaker claims that he is putting a lot of effort into becoming as successful as Shatta Wale and having such a devoted following.

In an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, he revealed these insights and said that he could relate to Shatta Wale’s personal experiences as well as his professional trajectory.

Kwame Yogot also took use of the occasion to urge other musicians who want to make it big in the music business to watch and learn from Shatta Wale’s example. By doing so, they will be better equipped to handle criticism and unfavorable comments.

I would say that Shatta Wale is someone I look up to. I should be able to reach Shatta Wale’s level before I can take a break from my job.

Really, who else should I aspire to be like? To be honest, I have learned a lot from him. I had to first understand him before I decided to pursue music.

I used to get upset and respond to taunts from followers and online users, but I reasoned that even my role model, Shatta Wale, faced criticism from time to time, so I shouldn’t be insulted,” he said.
