Ghanaian Pastor Cautions Gym Instructors Not to Engage with Married Women
Ghanaian gym instructors are advised not to have improper interactions with married women by Rev. Dr. Abraham Boateng, a preacher from Ghana.
Speaking on TV3 Ghana’s Confession program, Rev. Dr. Boateng expressed worry that fitness instructors are increasingly stepping beyond of their professional roles when working with their female clients, even married ladies.
The chaplain of Trinity Theological Seminary, a reverend minister of God, exhorted gym instructors to learn to respect the professional ethos of their vocation.

We are beginning to realize that, given the Ghanaian background, we implore the fitness instructors to exercise caution. “Those gym instructors need to exercise extreme caution,” he advised.

The remarks made by Rev. Dr. Abraham Boateng provoked discussions over the extracurricular activities that personal trainers engage in with their female clientele. She said that most people who attend to train use the gym as their “pick-up place.” The host of the Confession show, Miss Nancy, counseled men and women whose partners often visit the gyms to pay close attention to the concerns brought up by her visitors.
