Don’t Rush into Marriage Because of Church – Rev Obofour Tells Singles

Don’t Rush into Marriage Because of Church – Rev Obofour Tells Singles

Rev. Obofour, the founder and head of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), has counseled young people to give in to pressure from the church to get married.

There appears to be a new tactic in town, whereby certain churches pressure their young people to get married, even going so far as to pair them up with church members.

Rev. Obofour, however, argues that this is a dangerous habit and that young people shouldn’t succumb to it, adding that the church won’t support them if they have marital issues.

Obofour advised:

“Don’t rush into marriage; such a huge decision should never be taken lightly. “If you mess up the first time, there’s no guarantee you’ll get a second,” he warned. Rev. Obofuor also stated that the church may pressure you to marry someone who appears pious, but you may not really know them. “Do not allow the church bully you into marrying someone only because they are a church member. If the marriage does not work out, the church will not be concerned.

“Don’t be fooled by some guys in the church who may seem like ideal husband material,” he continued. They may not be the appropriate person for you just because they attend a certain church. A few of them have significant defects. Even though the religion may preach morality, you should assess whether the person you are thinking about genuinely embodies those principles.
