Defying Medical Odds: 70-Year-Old Woman Remains Pregnant for 45 Years

Defying Medical Odds: 70-Year-Old Woman Remains Pregnant for 45 Years

A 70-year-old woman has stated that she has been 45 years pregnant, beginning in 1977.

She revealed that she was married in 1973, went through a lot, including losing her first child and experiencing domestic abuse, which ultimately resulted in a divorce.

She remarried in 1977 while still carrying her previous husband’s child, following their divorce.

Unlike her previous husband, the elderly woman says her second husband is supportive and caring.

She insists that since divorcing her first husband almost fifty years ago, she has continued to become pregnant.

“I have been pregnant since 1977,” she stated. In 1973, I wed my first husband, but we later divorced. Then, I wed a second husband at that period. I became pregnant, but unfortunately, my firstborn did not survive the birth. My first husband mistreated me; he would come home intoxicated and hit me without cause, which was the main cause of our divorce. I made the decision to go.

I was pregnant by seven months when we broke up. “You will never have a child as long as you leave,” my husband stated. But I refused to die here; I wanted to go quietly. I visited my grandmother’s home. The unborn child in my belly stopped moving during those days.My spouse came and asked me to come back, but I swore I would never endanger my life. Naturally, I said a firm “NO.” I moved here in 1977 and got married to someone else. He told me not to worry about having children and was kind, which made him different. He claimed to have had all the children he required and that all he needed was someone to watch over and stay by his side.

I had previously believed that marriage was pointless because of the scars I carried, but after I married my second spouse, I began to enjoy the advantages of marriage. He was a spouse made in paradise, but I was still pregnant. Whenever I tried to work in the garden, I could not handle it because of my pregnancy; I would simply exhaust out without finishing a single task. That is, my spouse was a hero—the second kind. He would approach me when he observed me in pain on the field and would constantly remind me to rest and look after myself.

“Despite not being able to conceive, I was pregnant. “I will never chase you away because you can’t produce children,” he added, glancing at me. It’s alright, I’ll set those I made away. Until recently, when he passed away and entered paradise, we lived in harmony and tranquility, never having arguments and loving each other as if we were newlyweds.

I became a new creature after moving in and living with my second spouse, at which point I accepted Christ and was baptized in water. We used to attend to church together for fellowship, but my mom can no longer make the time to go to church. Five years have passed since my mother stopped participating in any one activity.
