Car Crash Involving Black Stars Technical Team, Details Emerging

The head coach of Ghana’s national football team, Otto Addo, and a number of members of the technical team were engaged in a car crash, which has left the Black Stars in horrible shape.

Two people were involved in the incident, which occurred on Sunday, September 1, 2024, on the Tarkwa-Takoradi route: goalkeeper’s trainer Fatawu Dadua and assistant coach John Paintsil.

The incident occurred when it was reported that the three were on their way back from Tarkwa after attending the Champions of Champions match on Saturday, August 31, which featured Premier League winner Samartex against Nsoatreman.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, which resulted in considerable damage to their car, they managed to escape the almost fatal collision, and none of the technical team members suffered any injuries.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows John Painstil expressing minor discomfort in some areas of his body.

However, before they start working ahead of Ghana’s AFCON qualifying match against Angola, Otto Addo and the technical team members are currently undergoing medical attention.

The Black Stars will travel to Niger on September 9 after playing Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on September 5, 2024.
