Asantewaa Admits to Faking Tears in Video for Public Sympathy and Views
Controversial Ghanaian Tiktok celebrity and content producer Asantewaa has finally admitted that the tears she recorded and released in a TikTok video months ago were not genuine, but rather staged.
In a recent interview, the influencer and ambassador stated that the emotional outbursts in her videos were mostly for entertainment purposes, rather than a genuine representation of her true feelings.
Asantewaa made these confessions public on the New Day program on TV3. He appeared as a guest with her brother, Kayverli, another TikTok influencer.
She opened up about a video that went viral a few months ago in which she was seen sobbing uncontrollably as she responded to remarks made about her delivery, saying that the purpose of the video was just to raise awareness of the negative consequences of social media negativity.
That was myself in the roles of other ladies. I wanted to portray how victims of abuse feel. I’m good for me.
However, there are other people. Suicide could occur and other things. Thus, I was putting myself in their position,” she remarked.
