NDC’s National Vice Chairman for Creatives, Robert Nana Koduah (Nana Kay), Loses Mother

The National Vice Chairman for NDC Creatives, Mr. Robert Nana Koduah, popularly known as Nana Kay or “Noo Abaabas33”, has been hit with a heavy loss following the passing of his beloved mother ABAAWA Hannah.

The sad incident occurred on 20th August 2025 after a short illness. News of her death has brought deep sorrow to family, friends, and colleagues of Nana Kay, who is well-respected within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for his tireless contributions to the party’s publicity and campaign strategies.

Nana Kay is recognized as a veteran advertiser and creative mind behind many of the NDC’s groundbreaking political campaigns. He first gained national attention during the 2016 elections with the popular “No Abaaba Se” TV commercials, which became a household phrase across Ghana. He was also a central figure in the Green Book crusade with Wofa K, championing the achievements of the party.

In the 2020 and 2024 campaigns, Nana Kay further cemented his reputation as the mastermind behind the NDC’s cartoon campaign videos, using creativity and humor to deliver strong political messages to the electorate. His work has been credited with shaping modern political advertising within the party.

As condolences pour in from party members, political stakeholders, and well-wishers, many have described his late mother as a strong pillar who nurtured Nana Kay into the devoted personality he has become today.
