BREAKING! Chairman Wontumi Rushed To The | Hospital After Arrest By EOCO & Lawyer Reveals
The Ashanti Regional NPP chairman, Chairman Wontumi, was taken to the hospital overnight after he was interrogated by the EOCO concerning allegations leveled against him.
Chairman Wontumi’s lawyer, Mr. Apiah Kobi, revealed to the press that his client had been on personal medication for some time now, and he informed the CID about it, but unfortunately, he was unable to complete the interrogation.
Therefore, he was taken to the hospital for proper treatment, but he would be back to answer to the charges leveled against him. Earlier this week, Chairman Wontumi was arrested by the CID for allegations of mining without a permit and entering forest reserves without a permit.
He went to write his statement and was later invited by the EOCO for further investigation. However, he was rushed to the hospital due to undisclosed reasons
