Asamoah Gyan Missed Penalty Due to NDC Government – Kumchacha Says

Asamoah Gyan Missed Penalty Due to NDC Government – Kumchacha Says

According to Ghanaian pastor Kumchacha, Asamoah Gyan missed the famous penalty during the 2010 World Cup on purpose in order to support the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on Saturday’s United Showbiz program, Kumchacha makes the case that Gyan’s backing of the NPP caused him to purposefully miss the penalty, depriving the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which was in power at the time, of the prestige that would have resulted from Ghana moving further in the competition.

Gyan recently made a statement emphasizing that he has no political ties, to which Kumchacha has responded with inflammatory remarks.

Gyan makes it clear that his main goals are using his influence to inspire the youth and advance Ghanaian football.

Several football enthusiasts and supporters have responded to Kumchacha’s assertion with opposing viewpoints, claiming that he insulted Gyan on live air, which could lead to defamation lawsuits.
