Achimota Rasta Student Tyrone Marhguy Gains $1.4 Million Scholarship To Pursue Computer Engineering In USA

Achimota Rasta Student, Tyrone Marhguy has gained a scholarship to study computer engineering in USA.

Tyrone Marhguy popularly known as Achimota Rasta Student has gained scholarship to pursue computer engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in USA.

The young man gained fame in 2020 when he was denied admission to Achimota School despite passing his exams and getting posted there for his secondary school education all because of his dreadlocks.

The school said his admission is on condition that he will do away with his dreadlocks.

With the support of a good number of people he took the case to court and won and joined his colleagues in class.

After 3 years of secondary education he passed his WAEC exams and other international private exams.

Today he is sharing with us another good news . He will be pursuing computer engineering at the University of Pennsylvania on a scholarship.

In a lengthy post on social media app X, Tyrone Marhguy revealed that he’s settled on University of Pennsylvania after receiving offers from Duke University, Williams College, Franklin & Marshall College and University of Pennsylvania all totaling $1.4 million over the next four years.

 

 

He has decided to choose University of Pennsylvania amongst the others.
