Bisa Kdei Calls for Fair Royalty Payment from GHAMRO for His Contributions to Ghanaian Music

Musician Bisa Kdei bemoaned the meagre royalties that the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) pays to musicians.
During an Angel FM interview, Bisa Kdei revealed that GHAMRO gave him GH¢500 for his two successful 2016 songs, Mansa and Brother Brother.
He claimed that a representative had contacted to let him know how much the institution owed him.

Disappointed, the Mansa hitmaker claimed he told the GHAMRO agent not to contact him again regarding royalties.
It was 500 Ghanaian cedis. “And I informed the GHAMRO agent not to contact me again,” stated Bisa Kdei. According to Bisa Kdei, he expected to have received a significant offer from GHAMRO after releasing successful songs for so long. That wasn’t the case, though.
At that time, my hit songs were a lot. Mansa and Brother Brother were very powerful. They were everywhere. So I even thought that when the money drops, it would be something to write home about-
