Tragedy Strikes in Kasoa: 4 Construction Workers Killed in Building Collapse

Tragically, a building they were working on fell on top of four people, including a carpenter.

The sad event happened in Kasoa New Market in the Central Region’s Awutu Senya East Municipality.

The four were trapped beneath the structure after the terrible tragedy, which happened on the second floor, according to an eyewitness testimony.

The carpenter passed away immediately after his body was removed, while the other three passed away while being transported to the hospital, proving that there was nothing that could be done to save them.

According to @KwesiHubert, “the typical causes of such a collapse are that the contractor deceived on the concrete and steel reinforcement and that there was an improper engineering design.

These typically occur when a regulatory body, such as the Municipal Assembly, that issues building permits, performs its duties carelessly.
