Rapper Kwame Yogot Reveals NPP’s GH₵500,000 Offer to Use ‘Biibi Besi’ for Campaign, But Management Held Out for GH₵1 Million
Ghanaian singer Kwame Yogot revealed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) approached him in 2023 with a big offer to use his hit song “Biibi Besi” for their 2024 general election campaign in support of flag bearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM.

Yogot claims that a group from the NPP headed by Nana Akomeah made an offer of GH₵500,000 for the song’s right
Kwame Yogot clarified that despite the offer’s allure, it was not fulfilled because of conflicts with his previous management.
“Considering the problems I was having with my management at the time, I didn’t see the need to pursue it further,” he stated. “At that point, they were demanding GH₵1 million instead.”
